Yummy Home-made Easter Treats! Easy to make! |
Ingredients: 1/4 Cup of Tuna Juice (drained from can) 6 or 8 Ounce Can of Tuna 1/2 Cup of Whole Wheat Flour 1/4 Cup of Cornmeal 1 Tablespoon of Parmesan Cheese Directions: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Open the can of tuna fish and drain the water (1/4 cup). If you are a little short, simply add regular water. Next, in a medium bowl, combine the tuna water, flour, cornmeal and cheese. Mix well. Finally, add the tuna. A nice dough should form. If you don't mind the smell of tuna on your hands, feel free to knead the dough! Next, grab your rolling pin and roll dough to desired thickness. You may need to rub down the rolling pin with some extra flour so the dough does not stick! Cut out cookies using easter shapes. As you can see, I chose a rabbit and flower. Finally bake the cookies on an ungreased cookie sheet for approximately twenty minutes (or until golden). Once cookies are cool, decorate! I used dog friendly sprinkles that I purchased from Puppy Cake! I also decorated some of the cookies with bits of shredded carrot! Yummy! Be sure to store these cookies in an air-tight container for up to three days, then freeze. Note: Cats also like these cookies! Simply cut them up in small, manageable pieces and serve! Meow! |
