Bunny Roo

Beagle

Higgins, better known as the famous Benji, was born in
1957. He was discovered at the Burbank Animal Shelter
as a puppy. He starred in the very well known “Benji”
movie, as well as the show “Petticoat Junction.” Higgins
died in 1975.

Rin Tin Tin was a male German Shepherd who was born in
1918. He died in 1932 but not before starring in over 25 films
for Warner Brother’s Studios. Rin Tin Tin traveled the United
States doing promotional work for the movie studio and also
served as a Red Cross dog. After he died, he was taken back
to France, where he was born.

Nipper

Nipper was born in the year 1884 in England. He
was named “Nipper” because he loved to bite
visitors to his home on the legs. Nipper served as
the model for the famous painting, “His Master’s
Voice,” which was later used as the logo for RCA
Records. Nipper died in 1895.

Honey Tree Evil Eye

Of course you know Honey as Spuds MacKenzie…the dog
featured in the Bud Light beer campaign of the late 80s. Honey,
who was featured in the campaign as a male, was actually a
female! She was born in 1983 and died of kidney failure in 1993.
In 1987, Honey was honored as “Marketing Dog of the Year.”

Pal, The Wonder Dog

Pal starred in the “Buster Brown” comedy series, as well as,
the silent “Our Gang” show. The famous ring around his eye
was actually “man made” using a permanent dye. Pal was
sire to the more famous “Pete the Pup,” who also had the
famous ring around his eye. Pete starred in the “Little
Rascals” television series. Pal died in 1930.
