Boxer

Loving and protective, the Boxer is a wonderful dog for an experienced, energetic family with older children. The Boxer is
often too strong and too boisterous for younger children or the frail elderly. The Boxer can be a city dog or country dog as
long as he gets plenty of exercise. He is not an ideal apartment dog as he needs plenty of room to romp and play. A yard
with a high fence is ideal.

Boxers can be strong minded, stubborn dogs, therefore, they can be challenging to train. If possible, training should begin
early and should be firm, consistent and kind.

The Boxer is medium in size, compact, muscular and squarely built dog. Their coats are
short and smooth and are usually fawn or brindle with a black mask. Often, the Boxer also
has white markings....usually found on the chest. They weigh 50 to 80 pounds, are 21 to 25
inches in height and live approximately 8 to 11 years.

The Boxer is a loving clown, bursting with personality and energy. They require a lot of
exercise, a lot of training and a lot of attention! Boxers thrive from human companionship
and love being part of a family.
