The Chihuahua is a very small dog slightly longer than it is tall. They are
usually 6 to 9 inches in height and weigh approximately two to six pounds.
The life span of the Chihuahua is 14 to 18 years (that's a long life!). These
little pups come in a variety of colors including: red, cream, fawn, sable,
bi-color, tri-color and black and tan.
Chihuahua's are wonderful family pets, however, households with small children should
use caution as the Chihuahua's small size makes them vulnerable. Chihuahua's are
companion animals, therefore, they thrive on the company of humans....they simply adore
attention! The Chihuahua does not need a lot of exercise, however, they do enjoy long
walks and trips to the dog park.
