The Chow Chow is medium in size and comes in two coats:
smooth and rough. They are sturdy dogs with broad heads and
short muzzles. Two of the most recognizable features of the
Chow Chow are their bluish/black tongue and high-set tail (which
often curls over). They are approximately 18 to 22 inches in
height and weigh 45 to 70 pounds.
The Chow Chow needs a firm but
kind owner who is willing to train.
A black, fluffy, adorable, Chow!

The Chow Chow does not always get along well with other
canines, so they are not the best choice if you are looking for a
dog park companion. They are quite intelligent and very
protective. As with any dog, the Chow Chow should slowly be
introduced to strangers, especially children.
