Yes, it’s that time again...time to mulch your garden! There is a product on the market that I must warn you about if you are a gardener / dog owner. The product I am speaking of is Cocoa Bean Mulch! Cocoa Bean Mulch has an attractive odor and smell...especially to dogs. In fact, some dogs have been known to eagerly consume large amounts of this popular garden product. |
BEWARE Of Cocoa Bean Mulch! |
This particular mulch is made from cocoa bean shells, a by-product of chocolate production. Just like chocolate, coca bean shells contain theobromine....which is very dangerous if consumed by dogs. So when it comes time to mulch, by-pass the chocolate and choose a Fido friendly garden cover instead! |
