Dog Rescue Story

Preva was originally rescued by a wonderful woman
named Kathryn. Eight years ago, Kathryn started a
rescue by the name of the Shiloh Foundation of
Northern Nevada. Before she started her “official”
rescue, Kathryn would single-handedly rescue as many
dogs as she could handle....a noble task for a person
to undertake without benefit of charitable funding or
assistance.

Preva’s success story might never have been if not for
the tragic passing of a puppy named Mona. Kathryn
had rescued Mona from a kill shelter even though she
knew that the odds were stacked against her. Mona
was very ill and had not received much needed medical
care. Despite all of Kathryn’s efforts, Mona died the
following day and Kathryn was heart-broken.

From tragedy, sprung inspiration and Kathryn
immediately went back to the shelter to save another
unwanted pup.....and that’s where Preva enters the
picture!

Preva was only five weeks old when Kathryn saved her
from the pound. She was young...too young to be away
from her mom. Kathryn knew she had to help. She took
Preva home with every intention of nursing her back to
health and making her a beloved member of her family.
Little did she know...Preva already had a “human
soul-mate” and that soul-mate’s name was Maggie.

It had been two years since Maggie’s beloved dog had died and she was now ready for
another. She made an appointment with Kathryn to meet a Poodle that was available for
adoption. When Maggie arrived at Kathryn’s house she wasn’t greeted by a Poodle. A little,
black Border Collie ran up to meet her and stopped at nothing to get her attention! Maggie
tried to get to know the Poodle that she had originally come to meet, however, something
kept pulling her back to the little Border Collie with the big brown eyes. Kathryn, realizing the
importance of placing as many dogs as possible with the RIGHT families, couldn’t help but
notice how well Maggie and Preva had “hit it off.” It was meant to be.

Maggie has now had Preva for over eight years!
According to Maggie, “Preva is the BEST dog I ever could
have hoped for. She continues to amaze me each and
every day!” Whether they are camping, swimming,
boating or playing frisbee, Maggie and Preva are constant
companions.....or as Maggie says....”soul-mates!”

Yes, Maggie....we here at Bunny Roo Beagle DO
BELIEVE in “canine soul-mates!” You and Preva are a
great example! Thank you for giving a dog that was once
dumped and unwanted a forever, loving home. Preva knew
you were the one for her the second she met you!
