Pets With Disabilities

Pets With Disabilites is a 501 (c) 3
organization dedicated in promoting the
adoption of dogs and cats with
disabilites. They are located in Prince
Frederick, Maryland. I can only think of
one word to describe this
organization.....AMAZING! I was lucky
enough to meet the wonderful people who
run Pets With Disabilites and was
extremely touched by their devotion to
disabled animals. I was also lucky enough
to meet Duke. Duke is the pup that
started it all. Paralyzed as a puppy in a
playing accident, Duke's parents dreaded
the idea of putting him to sleep....so they
didn't! They brought Duke home,
searched the internet for a doggie
wheelchair, and the rest is history! Duke
can run, play, and even herd sheep! He is
a miracle pup and the best thing is.....his
parents never gave up on him! For more
