The Weimaraner is considered a “country dog.” They need plenty of
room to run and play, therefore, a well-fenced yard is a must! This is
not a dog that does well in confined spaces so an apartment dog he
is not! If you are an out-door type who enjoys long walks and hiking,
the Weimaraner might just be the dog for you! For more information

The Weimaraner
Country of Origin: Germany
The Weimaraner is a medium to large, lean, muscular dog. They are 25 to
27 inches in height and weigh approximately 55 to 85 pounds. They usually
live 10 to 13 years. The Weimaraner’s original purpose was hunting,
pointing, and retrieving game.
The Weimaraner has an easy-care coat which is usually silver/gray in
color. They are intelligent, energetic and fun-loving. This dog requires
an active, experienced owner as they are very strong-willed, protective
and powerful. The Weimaraner can be a challenging breed but they
can be trained to a very high standard by an owner who is patient, firm
and consistent. If socialized early, the Weimaraner is generally good
with other dogs, however, they tend to dominate and will not back down
quickly if challenged.
