Penny's Cinnamon Snacks
Poodle Shaped Cinnamon Cookies For Dogs!

5 Cups of Unbleached Flour
One Jar of Applesauce (25 Ounces - All Natural)
2 Cups of Oatmeal - Uncooked
3 Tablespoons of Cinnamon
1/2 Cup of All Natural Peanutbutter
2 Tablespoons of Vegetable Oil
2 Tablespoons of Honey
1 Egg
1/4 Cup of Milk (I used Fat Free)

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In a large bowl, combine the flour and oatmeal. Next, add the peanut butter, applesauce, oil, honey and cinnamon. Blend well. Roll dough on a flat surface (about 1/4 inch thick). Using a cookie cutter of your choice, cut out shapes and place them on an ungreased cookie sheet. Finally, combine milk and egg in a small bowl. Whisk for a minute or two. Brush the top of each cookie with a small amount of the egg mixture. This will add additional flavor and a nice shine! Bake the cookies for 30 to 40 minutes. Let cool before serving. Store extra cookies in an air-tight container. Makes about 5 dozen cookies. Delicious!

Penny's Cinnamon Snacks

Who is Penny?

Penny was a beagle that I adopted after Bunny Roo passed away. The family she grew up with decided they wanted a puppy...so they dumped her at a high kill shelter! Penny's story broke my heart. She was approximately 11 years old when I adopted her and she was with us for a little over two years. We loved her and gave her the best life we possibly could. She deserved nothing less. Penny had a poodle friend that lived a few doors down. Therefore, in honor of their friendship, we created a poodle cookie just for her. Bless you Penny! We miss you!
