Strawberry Banana Valentine Cookies
The perfect homemade Valentine's Day treat for your dog!

For the Cookie:
3 Cups of All Purpose Flour
1/2 Cup of Cornmeal
1/2 Cup of Parmesan Cheese
1 Large Egg - Beaten
1 Cup of Low Fat Milk
2 Tablespoons of Banana Baby Food

8 Tablespoons of Low-Fat Strawberry Cream Cheese
2 tablespoons of Low-Fat, Plain Yorgurt
2 Tablespoons of Honey
2 or 3 Tablespoons of Flour ( to thicken if necessary)

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, cornmeal and parmesan cheese (use your hands if necessary!). Next, add the egg, milk and baby food. Once a dough has formed, grab your rolling pin and roll out dough to desired thickness. Using a heart shape cookie cutter, cut out shapes. Next, using a smaller heart shape cutter, cut out shapes in half of the hearts you have already made. This will form a window in the top cookie (see picture). Be sure to save the small heart cutouts as they make cute little cookies! Place all of the cookies on a cookie sheet and bake for 20 minutes or until bottoms are golden brown. Cool Completely.

In a small bowl, combine the cream cheese, honey, yogurt and flour. Mix well. Spread icing onto the heart shape cookies that DO NOT have the window cut-out. Place cookie WITH the cut-out on top to form a sandwich. If you wish, you can pipe additional icing onto the smaller cookies.  Note: Cookies must be 100% cooled before icing or the icing will simply melt.

Note: If your dog has issues digesting dairy products, you may wish to choose a different recipe or simply do not use the
